Prerequisite: none but suggested: Online Theory lecture with Guy VOYER, DO

Exam: There is NO EXAM for this course

Course Certificate: This is a 2 part course: 1) live practical, 2) online theory with Guy VOYER, DO. Upon completion of this course, a certificate will be given. The anatomy & biomechanics theoretical lecture needs to be taken to be fully certified.

One of the most fundamental and popular courses of the SomaTraining program and the first course in the program. A unique course with detailed relational and fascial anatomy and relative biomechanics where students learn proper mechanics, execution and application from the very beginning.

The abdominals (obliques, transverse, pyramidals and rectus abdominus) and the thoracic diaphragm need to be properly trained. These muscles are not only functional but aesthetic.

Over 40+ exercises and its variations can be used regularly in strength and conditioning as well as in the field of rehabilitation, especially for the lumbar spine, lumbo-pelvis dysfunction, abdominal wall separations, Crohn’s, constipation, hernias, diastases, and digestive disorders.

Why the Thoracic Diaphragm is the most important muscle in the body to train and how to train it for optimal function. Maintains the relationship between the upper spine and pelvis.
